Hi,
I started the NVQ level 2 course last week and am panicking it is too much. I work full time and am struggling to take it all in.
Bones in skull, layers of skin what things do, the names etc.
Can anyone give any tips of how to remember these things, or tips on anything?
Also been trying to find past exam papers - is this possible to find what assignments should look like etc?
Thanks so much,
Rachel

Hi, how long is the course your doing? Is it a short course?
Relax for starters, that'll help! Take it bit by bit, i find breaking things up into sections and learning section by section much easier then trying to digest too much too quick.
I did a level 2 around a job and a baby and moving house...it is possible so dont panic!

hi ya...

One of the classes i teach are adults doing the NVQ level 2. Dont worry you dont need to know it all straight away and on the first week you certainly shouldnt be needing to worry!!

Yes by the end of your course you will need to know these things but you will have lots of classes and assignments that will embed this for you.

Your theory should be delivered broken down in bitesize chunks so that you are not overwhelmed! If you feel as though you are struggling have a chat with your tutor. Your tutor should also be able to give you some example test papers. Old NVQ papers are no longer used for practise so you wont find any of these but some tutors make up a mock... you shouldnt need to worry about this at this stage.

Assignments again ask for examples...alot of the time the colleges will put the assignment together and all you will need to do is answer the questions and do the research.

Take lots of notes during your theory sessions, write your notes up when you get home while they are fresh in your mind.
Keep them all in a safe folder for you to refer to when you are doing assignments. Be organised. Set yourself out time eachweek to study at home.

Get yourself a good Level 2 book...Lorraine Nordmann form Amazon.

Feel free to pm if you ever get stuck on anything xx

My little girl is only months old we have just moved house so we are doing it up at the mo , and i start my course after august *if i get in * and just find it all abit daunting and terrfied i screw up on the course becuase it is alot to cope with aswell as homework projects etc!x

lol, i only did college 2 evenings a week, coursework i just did as and when- some in class. I enjoyed it so it wasnt like work or anything, it didnt feel like a chore because i loved doing it all, which makes anything easier. I think it was a case of just get on and do it. :green:

With it being 5 days you should have plenty of time to get things done i'd imagine, you will sail sail through im sure! Good luck!

an idea would be to draw pics of skull etc., and put labels where you think they are. some of the muscles are self explanatory like frontalis....and corrugator = eyebrows= frowning...
Bones the same idea...xxx
hope this helps ( also write things down ) ..when at college, i remember i had to write a short essay on dermal papilla.!!!...
im sure all of us will help if possible. x
