Hi,

I am struggling to select a facial skin care range for my new salon. Any suggestions of any products you use & like??? Would be much appreciated.

Its dermalogica all the way!!! Used to have decleor but now think they are only interested in QVC! Really happy with dermalogica as both a skincare range and as a company to deal with.

I use Eve Taylor. Their customer service is fab too.
You can't buy their products cheaper than you can buy them in the salon.
They scour Ebay every day to make sure no-one is selling on there.
They have no minimum order.
I have just had a beautician start at my salon in the last 2 weeks and at her old salon she was using Dermalogica. She never sold any retail stock though as clients could buy it cheaper elsewhere so didn't bother.
Eve Taylor is a very good range and clients will buy your retail stock too :)

eve taylor ~ affordable and lovely smelling
also try some "algologie" samples see what you think

hi - yep I use Eve Taylor too! Great products, training available, client's love it and they only retail through professional therapists.

Good luck :)

sorry to jump in on your thread but is eve taylor very results driven? do your clients see improvement from the anti aging products?

xx

Hi High Hopes

Yes the anti aging products give excellent results. My personal favourite is the cryogenic peel off masque which contains spirilina which has a really great firming effect on the skin. My client also love the age resist retail products i.e. day cream, night cream & active complex. They all sell great and give great results. Hope this helps.

Hiya

Hope you dont mind me asking a question!

Could anyone advise of where the best place to order Eve Taylor? The anti-ageing range sounds fab!

I use salon systems for everything at the moment - manicures, pedicures, waxing etc. but the Eve Taylor range seems to come highly recommended!

I use SwissDermyl in my salon and it's a truly transformational range of treatments and products. They cater for just about every skin. I have many repeat clients who love the results (it's entirely results driven) and love the home care products too, because they work.

If you need any more information just shout. If you were closer I would offer you a free facial so you could see just how wonderful the products are.
There are those who say that the packaging isn't terribly modern looking, and I would agree with that to a degree. But there's a fine line between aspirational and unobtainable and I think SwissDermyl aren't trying to look like a La Prairie, or a Creme de la Mer because it may intimidate the client.
Their contact details are 01455 891785. You need to speak to either Andy or Julie, and they will send you samples and an info pack.
I'm seeing Andy tomorrow so if you have any specific questions I'm happy to ask them on your behalf.

I also use Eve Taylor and also Susan Molyneux. I have a rep from Environ coming out to me next month though as I am very interested in this range for more result driven facials.

Hi l have just finished my environ training and am very impressed, they also have a good min opening order of £500 and customers are really interested in the products.

For me is Dermalogica all the way!!
Consumers heard and love this brand so is very easy to sell the facials.
I know you can buy Dermalogica cheaper on internet but dont forget you have the advantage to offer the treatments as well as retail. If you go ahead will rep will let you know how you can mixed this two.
Good luck!

But, as every salon owner knows 80% of your revenue should be coming from retail. So if you're losing retail sales to the internet you're losing a goodly chunk of your revenue.
Not to mention the fact that the brand ceases to have any aspirational quality, and its value is diluted by the fact that every man and his dog uses it.
I made the decision to use a brand that is available only in authorised salons, and not in Boots, Tesco, QVC or eBay.

Hi Calla - no offence but the brand that you use is not much available because is not demand for it.
And by the way Dermalogica is not available in Tesco, Boots or QVC.

I think we could go rornd and round in circles with this debate on which skin care is best....it is how you want to market the brand, networking, self belief, research and development of the ingredients that goes into the brand, proven test results that are in vitro, customer support from the distributor...or lack of in some....er herm,lol....the list goes on.:)

Good. Grief.

the problem with dermalogica is there are sooooo many salons that offer it, in my town alone there are 8 salons who stock it. I also think its a brand that focuses more on problematic skin rather than anti aging, and my client base are aging rapidly :)

Repechage have great skin, body, hand and foot products. Their profile is raising as they get more publicity and they are a wonderful company to deal with. Clients get excellent results, the homecare products are affordable, with trial kits available for clients who wish to try before they spend lots of cash.
Been using the products for about 10 years now. They keep up to date, use recognised ingredients and provide excellent training.

Eve Taylor ..... its fab, i changed from thalgo to them, and i have had no problems and my clients love the smells and the treatments i offer.

good luck
