Hi Guys and Girls,

I could really do with some advice from you all. I'm currently employed full time but for the last few years or so have had an interest in nails. I do friends nails all the time and am always giving them manicures/pedicures. My speciality is nail art, I've built up my designs over the years and I'm now at the stage where friends of friends are asking me if they can pay me to do their nails. I have a massive collection of nail art stuff and I don't know if anyones familar with WAH nails but my designs are pretty similar to their more modern designs.

I have just started using shellac and minx, however these products are really expensive when they are not brought wholesale! I also do use uv gel topcoats over nail polish and my friends love it as it prolongs the life of their nail varnish.

I need to register this with my employer first as they may not allow me due to the nature of my job but if they do I would like to know what is the best manicure course to do in order for me to get registered with sweet squared and to get insurance. I don't want to pay a fortune and a lot of courses I've looked at seem to include artifical nails. Is there a really good basic course I can do to get acredited?

Thanks for your help!

There is only 1 price for Shellac and Minx and thats from sweet squared or their associates, which is the wholesale price. How have you managed to buy these from them esp Shellac without having done a course?

Hi,

I've just completed the Creative Natural nail one day course which was fantastic, that has allowed me to register to purchase from Sweet Squared, although it does not include the L&P or gel products. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Hope that helps!

Why not ring Julia Moran in Manchester and ask what she can do for you regarding a manicure class. Julia is also an associate of CND Sweet Squared and has a wholesale shop there. 01942 675580 or 0845 2000 311

Let me know how you get on... you say your designs are like ours, it would be great if you got in touch when you are qualified as I'm looking to expand out of London.

And even though anyone can do WAH style designs, nothing beats the pro's touch...I keep seeing messy variations of our signature nails on blogs which drives me crazy but i guess if we're only available in London then im just grateful that people are taking more of an interest in nails, even if we cant service them!

good luck and stay in touch x

Apologies for the late reply,

karenrose-Having now read more posts on here I don't think you are going to be happy with the answer but I've brought Shellac from ebay :( To be fair though I only use it on myself and friends and don't charge obviously as I'm not qualified!

Geeg and Steepdene- I'm booking onto the CND course in Nov, thanks to everyones advice, I am so excited!

Wah-nails- I am such a fan of your work! Your designs are amazing, and I couldn't agree more I have seen some pretty bad copies of your work. I think there is definately a market for expansion in Manchester, I could think of some brilliant locations for you... plus my other half is a commercial bank manager here if you need any help in that department.... :)

Thanks for all the replies and good wishes x
