Help reverse root smudge

My client is a level 9 highlift all over and wants this pic reverse root smudge ...
I was going to use level 6 golden blonde with 8.0 on the root smudge and condition the ends so the colour does not run any other suggestions?? Please

Or would it be better on wet hair to do this?

Its not really a reverse root smudge if her hair is already a 9 its just a root smudge.

I would do it on wet hair as you'll get a much nicer blend. What brand do you use and what were you thinking of as a colour choice?

Ok root smudge I’m new to this technique as this is my first time doing it so thanks for correcting me and getting back to me .. I use Montibello chromatone I want a level 7 but as she’s so blonde I know I need to add gold in so it dont’t go green x
