I have bought a Hive mulit pro paraffin wax heater but it doesn't tell me the correct temperature for the cartridges. It tells me to switch it onto max then turn it to the required temp for the wax eeeek I dunno what that is!

Can anyone help? PLEASE:eek:

When you were trained did they tell you to check the wax on your skin first? What I do is turn it up to maximum until it's melted, then turn it down a bit and check, and keep turning it down until it's bearable on my skin. When my client arives I check it on her skin and adjust accordingly. I find it quite variable, depending on the weather, humidity, room temperature!

Depending on which wax you use the temp can be diffferent. The cream waxes are often different to the honey ones.

With mine I turn it up full until all the wax is melted and then turn down slightly and leave the lid up. Test the wax on your wrist to see how you feel about the temperature. If it is too hot for your wrist a client isnt going to want it spread out over a large area. Try not to keep testing the wax in the same place on your wrist because as this becomes sensitive if will feel like the wax is hotter than it is iykwim xxx
