What products are you using as some companies don't recommend buffing oil into the enhancement before buffing. CND does, but then you still have t o remove it before using your 3 way shiner/buffer/glosser.
Using oil with a buffer unless it is one like a Koala buffer that has a protective coating on it will ruin your buffer. :irked:

You should work down the grades of your files and buffers finishing with a 240 or 280 making it sure it is perfectly smooth. Then switch to a 3 way shiner or buffer/Glosser to buff to a high shine. Then you can use oil. HTH

I think you have answered your own question!!

Try after buffing the oil in...getting your client to wash her hands thus removing the oil, or else you remove with a dehydrator then using a new buffer, buff to a glass like shine.

The Edge buffer may have been fine to start with but it most certainly will be rubbish now as these kinds of buffers aren't meant to be used on oily nails.

whats the best buffer to buy one of these 3 way block ones looks like a white block but diff colour n texture?

we never got taught any of this. :S

There are loads...I personally don't like the wee block ones as I am used to a longer more file shaped one and I get a good sweeping motion going on with them. I use a small one and I tend to sweep right off the nail :o
Most 3 way shiners are good, but more work than a glosser or a magic buffer as they only have 2 sides and the white side leaves a wonderful shine on the nail enhancement.
Some good buffers are:
CND Girlfriend Buffer (3 way shiner)
CND Glosser....available in file size or in a block.
Nfu.Oh Magic Buffer pink & white and gives amazing shine...my personal favourite ;)
EzFlow Killer Whale (3 way shiner)
EzFlow Snow Monkey the Rolls Royce of Buffers with it's chamois leather, but best used with Miracle shine Buffing paste.

I am sure other geeks will let you know what buffers they prefer too...........

I also use the Ezflow whale and snow monkey with miracle shine( this is the one i used on you kez.)
it's fantastic

I use CND Girlfriend Buffer, its fab :green: I used to work down the grit sizes, then use the buffer then oil, but after seeing Kirsten from CND use the oil first then the Koala then the Girlfriend, it gave a much nicer shine, so this is what I now do xx

Use different files during the finishing. start with a higher and go finer before buffing. i usually use 3-4 different file during the finishing process, so you wont see scratches after buffing the oil, only shine.

There is a CND spotllight video all about finishing on the CND.com website thats goes through all the processes. Im not a CND user but it helped me out by applying the same principles! have a watch hun.
