Can anyone tell me if it is bad practice, when applying acrylic to do zone 1 and then file to shape before applying zones 2 and 3. I find that sometimes, on a bad day, I make a total mess when applying the white, and things go from bad to worse from then on. However, I have been experimenting on myself, and have found that if I file the white to a decent shape first, then zones 2 & 3 seem to follow OK . They don't seem to lift any more than usual (I often get lift when doing my own nails). I would like to know if its OK to do this, and whether I would need to leave the nailpure and primer till after completing zone 1, before considering trying this with a client

It's not the best way to do nails and I would not recommend doing it on a client. But if you are going to continue to do it on yourself you still need to use nail pure and/or Nail pure plus and primer in order to have zone one adhere correctly to the nail plate. With that being said after you file zone 1 and go back to applying I would remove the dust filings and reapply Nail Pure Plus and primer to the rest of the nail plate before proceeding with your zones 2&3 application.

Remember to sculpt with your brush not your file!! it takes practice but you can do it.

Thanks. More perfect practice is what I need!
