Hi, first posting so help appreciated.... Practising for my biosculpture exam and having problems with French application. Have a french brush but when I use it to create a clean white line - it is making the clear gel layer bumpy (not smooth). What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions.

Do you mean the base layer you have applied is going bumpy?

Or do you mean you are getting pitting in your white layer?

I mean the base layer - when I use the brush to clean the white gel, it is making the clear base gel go bumpy!

Well if the layer underneath is going bumpy then I would say that it is the way you are applying the base clear gel not the white gel or the white gel brush.

Try adjusting the thickness of your clear gel - either thicker or thinner and see what difference it makes. Or it could be that the nail plate was not complete clean or dry from your previous step (sanitizer or dual cleanser) therefore not allowing your clear gel to cure properly.

It is difficult to say which exactly without seeing how your apply the product but try the above and see how it goes.

Have you joined the Bio Sculpture group?

There is lots of useful info for us Bio Sculpture techs on there.

Thanks Theresa - will try adjusting thickness of clear gel but also looking at nail plate prep. There is just soooo much to remember when your still learning but I am determined to keep practising until I get it spot on. Thanks for tip on the Bio Sculpture group also - useful info is also welcome.

Much appreciated. x
