i am not used to using an electric file/drill and am not completely sure about all of the different drill bits. do you have to use a sanding bit on every type of drill bit or can you just use the bit itself without the sanding band? i hope this makes sense. i am new to doing nails. sorry if i confuse any one.

Hi and welcome to the site.... I dont want to shoot you down so early in your posting... but you should really get some trainign on an efile... it can do a HUGE amount of damage to a clients nails if you are not sure what you are doing..

There are many different types of drill bits.. I have many ( about 9) but i seem to only use the Large barrell and sometimes the small foot ball type to clean under the nail if needed.. I tend not to do this to oftern ...

yeah, it does seem confusing, but once you get your training all will become clear.
i suggest you take one of vicki peters' classes, shes the queen of e filing.

the kupa website is good for a description of what the bits are designed for. basicly you choose between the disposable sanding bands that fit on a bit called a mandrel or you use a permanent bit of your choice of shape and and sanitise/disinfect after each use.
