Help! I want to purchase a facial steamer and I need a bit of advice. I've looked in Ellisons and they are way to much for me at present BUT I've seen a couple on E-Bay:

eBay.co.uk: Brand new facial steamer with magnifying lamp (item 110038364214 end time 30-Sep-06 23:09:38 BST)

and

eBay.co.uk: New Facial Steamer With Ozone Vapour Beauty Equipment (item 280032283815 end time 28-Sep-06 20:53:59 BST)

I am just starting out and don't want to make any mistakes - so any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I am likely to be home based - I may do some mobile - but only a very limted amount (clients who can't come to me).

Thanks for info - I shall check this out - just need a few pointers as I am new to this! (but enjoying it ever so much!

i got a leaflet through the other day from h.o.f and they had steamers for £39 :green: , hth dee x

Thanks all, I must admit I am VERY wary of buying one from E-Bay - I know there are lots of genuine traders out there...but knowing my luck.... !

I'm probably going to try Salon Services or one of the other Companies suggested in this thread as there's no better recommendation than word of mouth.

Cheers

Whatever you do, don't go for this one. My friend bought it and it was very top heavy and smashed to the ground. In addition to this, it didn't work properly and she never managed to get her money back because she hadn't kept every bit of packaging.

I would get one from salon services.

I bought the same one off ebay and whilst it was a little top heavy it was great for the price and if you are gentle with it it is ok, i have had it for six months now, done loads of facials with it and it is still working great
