hi guys

as you know im trying to get my business off the ground for when kids go back in sept, so ive ordered some of the free vista print business cards, not perfect but will do til ive done some more training and am adding enhancements to the menu

now ive started working on my website, any ideas or suggestion gratefully recieved thanks, i will put more pics in the gallery, but ive reached my max, until prem subs is confirmed
Freewebs.com - Free website, free hosting, free webpage, online photo album, free blog, more!

also i wanted to get the kids to deliver some flyers just before end of holidays, done some on publisher, and i really like the style etc, (oops blowing my own trumpet, but knew that pc course would pay off rofl) now its got business name, phone number, website, email addy etc and my slogan, but what i wondered was do i list what i do and leave it at that, or should it read like a price list?

thanks guys

look forward to reams of advice from you much more business oriented geeks than me lol

My leaflets have my company info on the front with a nice piccie and then on the back I have listed services and prices. I also included a short passage on MMA and how to choose a salon, wht to look for in a good one (even if they dont choose me I can try to make sure they go to a reputable one).

I also included a nice picture on the back.

I thought about just doing flyers with no prices on but then though that I might get alot of calls from people wanting to know the price and then not booking, so at least this way, they know the prices and if they want to book they can.

Speak to Emmsybabes, she has just been doing her leaflets and biz cards and may be able to help you more hun. She is on MSN too, so next time your on, i'll get her in too.

My leaflets have my logo & contact details on the front along with some "pretty" pics of nails/flowers. A bit of burb about what I do and me being mobile & home-based - ie: convenience to them re parking, flexible hours and the areas I cover etc.
I have my price list and product info etc on the back.

I have´nt got a web site yet, but there have been loads of really nice ones posted on here and when:irked: I can eventually get my man to sit down long enough with me to show me "how to" I shall be trolling through them all for ideas.:)

hi ya your site looks great hun,:green: and is very informative , just one thing i wasnt sure of , your basic mani/pedi , is only 15 minutes long , which is fine ,:green: but i would maybe call it an express mani/pedi ,
as to me a basic mani / pedi should be about 45 mins but that is just maybe the way i think
hope you dont mind me mentioning it, just thought it might help xx

no dont mind you mentioning it at all hun, might have to look at some other peoples sites and decide how to word it then, is the luxury one at 45 mins and deluxe at 1hr ok?

thanks again hun xxx

Hi Nicky
Just had a quick look at site and agree with above posts. Just had to point out (coz i'm REALLY geeky like that) that on home page, where you mention about freehand nail art, there is a spelling mistake - should be INTERESTED (not intrested). Sorry to point this out but it's one of the little things that bugs me and it will look more professional for you if you get it dead right.
I hope it all works out for you, good luck with everything, esp trying to fit it in around kids - I know exactly how you feel.
Elaine

ps I am not sure if I would include the fact that you are training in L&P at moment, maybe "L&P coming soon" or "new treatment for September" would inspire more confidence?

maybe tweak it a bit so your express (or whatever) is file, quick cuticle work & polish, then
standard (or basic) is your regular one where you do the whole hog, soak, cuticles, file , cuticles arm & hand ,massage and polish
then luxury could be choice of heated mitts or exfoliating treatments (you can call it anti aging or something, ) ,
also a lot of people use the terms bronze, silver and gold to describe their manis and pedis , :)
what do you think ??
god i hope you arnt offended, i think the website is fab , just trying to make it a bit easier for ya xx
(plus clients will have to pay for the luxury if the want the exfoliating :green:, lol )

Hiya
Well done, all your work has really paid off!
hope that it all works out for you!

I just thought I would mention that when i first started and sent out leaflets, I offered a small discount eg,(20% for September)
I found this really got people looking at the leaflet!
Aswell as putting them through peoples doors be sure to put them up on noticeboards, and in shops, leisure centres, etc also target toddler groups, ladies exercise classes, and schools. There are always plenty of ladies around these places!

If you wanted to get started now on the leafleting, I think that would be fine. just take bookings from september. It will keep the kids busy and give them loads of excersise.

pls let me know how it all goes xxxx:hug:
