Hi there

I do mobile spray tanning and I am putting my prices up for the first time since starting my business mainly due to hike in fuel costs etc. I'm planning to email all my clients to let them know that this will take effect from 1 May 2010 but not sure how to word it.

Any help/advice would be great.

Thanks

I think you have nicely worded your post and so using the same reasons etc you can easily put something together.

If I had to write a quick blurb I would choose something like

Dear ........

Due to a rise in operating and fuel costs over the last few years there will be a small increase of ..... pounds to the cost of each spray tanning treatment. This price change will come into effect on ........

Thank you for your understanding and for your loyalty over the years.

Dont worry about being too apologetic as most reasonable people would expect your prices to rise like everything else.

Hi Skymark

That's great, I like the way you've worded that and thanks for the quick reply.

Jackie :)

I would agree and word it like skymark. If you tell them that the fuel and cost of products have gone up then they will understand. They cant expect you to do the same treatment and charge the same when you have to pay out more. Dont be scared to do this as everywhere and everything is increasing you are not the only one. x
