I needed to take of a set of acrylics and run out of my normal acetone so had to resort to boots conditioning nail varnish remover. But now i have very orange nails  still have half the acrylic left on tooo!!! not happy as i look like i washed my hands in tomatoe soup!
Tried washing them several times and also cleanser, dont have a clue what else i can put on them but i need to take them off and put a new set on b4 tonight. Any ideas???? tiA:cry:

Not sure about on the skin, but for the nails, CND Cuticle Away always seems to remove some of the surface staining along with the cuticle. HTH!

Why would you think that conditioning polish remover will take off L&P efficiently???? What do you use for your clients?

What did your course teach you about the chemistry of artificial nails? I'm sorry if this sounds critical but your course seems to have missed out a big chunks of knowledge and that's not your fault. I'm saying this because you need to know.

If all else fails small bottles of acetone can be bought from any pharmacist. I don't know what the orange is (unless you left your polish on) but it could just be the colouring in the remover. Acetone should remove it all

Did you really need to remove them? couldnt you have filed them down thin and then re-applyed or filled them?
maybe try to file off whats left over , but be carefull of your natral nails ,
I guess it is good that you didnt pull them off as you wear cought short , cutical away will help with the stains but so would exfoliating face wash if you have some,

Thanks for your replies.
for the record i have been trained properly and as stated had run out of the acetone that i would usually use. i went into the local chemist (in a small town which i personally would class as a village) and only had this bottle of nail varnish remover which in the hurry i was in didnt notice the horrible tinge of orange! or i wouldnt have bought it.
Leaving them on wasnt an option and they really did need removing!

Thanks mizzy_dizzy that worked a treat:)

nails are restored without any damage!
