Hello,

I've been a qualified therapist for 5 years, i've done treatments for friends and family etc during this time. I am a full time duty manager of a leisure centre and i want to start doing my treatment as a proper business in our treatment roomm at work. I have absolutely no idea how i go about setting myself up, registering a business? tax? etc

i need muchos advice as my head hurts just thinking about it!!!

thanks

You need to ring the Tax Office within 3 months otherwise you incur a £100 charge, they are very helpful, I just said I'm new to all this, help :D. Business Link are helpful too. They have free seminars for you to attend relating to things like this.

Good luck x

Business Link are a great start. I didn't have the first clue about business but I've been on 2 of their seminars, they are really helpful. They have courses about starting up your business, tax and vat, marketing, pretty much everything!

I see you are near to Manchester, Blue Orchid have a branch in the city centre who give great advice and offer free business start up courses etc.

Hi ya
I made sure my insurance was sorted, inform the council because I was doing electroylsis and as for the tax side of things I got intouch with an accountant who sort's all that out for me and he told me what I can claim for etc. I found the worse thing was deciding what treatment's I was going to offer lol.
Good luck
Kerry
