Help!

My waxing table broke yesterday and I have warm wax all over my wooden floor. Happened last thing yesterday so I have just left it to cool and will face the clean up monday morning. Any clever ideas how to clear it up? Would reallllllllly appreciate it :irked:

In my last clinic I spilt a whole pot on a carpet that had only been laid two weeks previous - spent most of my weekend clearing it up! The best way is to get as much up whilst it's still liquid (I used couch roll), although it's a little late now! As it's a wooden floor a paint scraper would probably do it & clear the rest up with wax equipment cleaner.

It needs to be melted,or you will never get it up!
Use a hairdryer on it to soften it and use a wooden spatula to scrape it up.
I wouldnt use paper/bedroll as will just stick like mad. Get lots of cotton wool.we use cotton wool tubing you know what hairdressesrs put round hairline when perming?
Soak cotton wool with wax equipment cleaner and wipe it and pick it and scrape it while wax is soft!

We have removed bits of wax off our wooden floors with a wallpaper scraper tool (we use this to get gel off the glass tops on our nail tables too).

Thanks for speedy replies. It's my own salon so luckily I wont get a grilling. Stupid damn table! Last time I go for the cheaper version from Ikea. Wallpaper stripers a great idea, am dreading the whole 'wax on hands/sticky fingers' and fluff everywhere, I have a slight phobia . Do u think anyone would notice if I just cover it up with a chair jokin

how about the next time you get a client...roll them on the Wax patch on the floor then wrap them in a sheet like a sausage...then roll them out with extreme force...LOL!!!! All over body wax anyone??....i think it would do well?....no??...oh ok! LMAO!!

wax equipment cleaner is brill to use... i have often spilt a bit of wax on the ground n our place best thing i find is soak the area with it and use a bit of couch roll to take it off, it works on smaller bits on wax on the wooden floors anyway
