Hi

I'm new to this site (and a bit apprehensive ) and new to the nail business, got my diploma in nail technology in August.

I would like to change the products I am currently using but without wasting a lot of money. Please could I have some help and advice with regard to CND Brisa gel and L&P Retention+ as opposed to NSI's range of Attraction L&P and Balance gel.

Thank you in advance x

Hiya,

Where did you train in nails?

In order to use CND products (brista and their l&p) you need to have been trained by Creative or have done a conversion to them.

If you are not CND trained there are still loads of good products available such as NSI, Fusion and Young nails xx

Hi Louise

It's an ITEC diploma, when I registered with CND and i sent my certificate they didn't mention that I had to do a conversion course x

Did you register with Sweet Squared?
If so, as a trained person you would be allowed to purchase certain things like popits, minx, brushes, polishes, solar oil etc but not actual enhancement products such as the liquid and powders or the brisa gels.

Yes, just this week but have phoned them this aftenoon and will probably do a conversion course (when i can afford it).

Thanks anyway.

Hi I use Retenion+ and I love it, I understand about the NSI that is what I trained in for gels and I just didn't get on with it. I did a ezflow conversion course Monday and I am getting on so much better, my sculpts are much better and my confidence is much better to. I have heard the Brisa is also a very good Gel to.xxxx

I used NSI 6-7 yrs ago for 2yrs and found the system ok tho just ok, when I started trying other companies trial kits I realised the diff between systems was huge - the workability, the right consistency pick up each time, lifting issues I had - gone, etc.etc.
Balance gel I found was a nightmare thick n gloopy - I really struggled - it was the first gel I ever used but I still wouldnt go back as I found Young and couldnt see why I'll ever need to change.
Rentention+ is fab 2 tho I'm only trialling it in the salon at mo as we used to use Young Speed powders but they werent fast enough, so we tried moxie and have a sample of ret+.
I also think the difference between companies is choice, some only have 1 or 2 systems and thats it, so like Young if we cant use xxx or speed powders we have to look elsewhere, where as with CND I've tried moxie, ret+ and the have more in the brochure. I'm very happy with the products and service that I receive.
