Hi guys, I am currently doing my CND l&P, and am practising as much as I can on my nail trainer, but find it nowhere as good as human hands, I am not charging as of yet as I am just doing friends and their kids etc, how many sets would be suggested before I could start charging. Also how much use should I be looking at getting out of my files and buffers??? and how do I know when to use a knew one iygwim.

Also I am had a a little go of using the perfomance forms I got with my kit and did quite a good job, but I am now wandering if I applied them correctly as they have purferated lines that look like ur meant to fold these first,, could someone please explain how to use these forms. I would rather get used to using forms rather than tips as that is what I know most of my customers will be requesting, although I will offer both. I am going to get my educator to show me when I next see her, I just wanted to have a little mess with my trainer hand. Thanks guys xxxxxx

I think you should ask your educator all these questions. You will get a variety of answers on here and you won't know which opinion is right until you're a bit more experienced

E.g you question about sculpting and the forms you're using will be shown to you by your educator when the time for learning that skill comes. Some techs are very pro sculpting and others pro tip and overlay. Same with clients. In my opinion, you should be skilled in both and recommend the right service for the individual client.

When you have the knowledge you need you'll be able make decisions for yourself from an informed point of view

Hi thanks for your reply, I am sculpting already but on tips, I use cnd white for zone 1, and pink for 2, and 3. I am meeting with Katie my educator tomorrow for my spa day so I will ask her then, Thanks ,,,Kate

Hi Katie

Sculpting doesn't involve tips. If you're seeing your educator tomorrow and ask the questions I'm confident that all will be clear.

Good luck and enjoy your training x
