Hi just bought the hive roller system any hints or tips for using it. Can I refill the cartridges with which ever wax I want, whats the best way to do it. Do I use a new roller for each client.

I have never tried to refill it with another wax. Tbh I couldnt be bothered. Yes new head for each client x

I used to use the Hive roller wax, but I now use Clean & Easy, no you cant use any other wax it has to be the Hive wax, but why would you want to use a different brand:?: Hope this helps:?: x

Hello!
I changed to Clean & Easy because the Hive roller wax heater kept leaking wax from the bottom! they sent me 2 but it still carried on so I changed, and yes in my opinion this 1 is much better & its easier to clean, & no leaking "wax"

Thanks for your reply.do you use the clean and easy wax if so which one?i know a lot of people decant a different wax into the cartridges so im keen to see if you like there actual wax aswell.

We used to have the Hive roller system and yes you can use any wax,you heat it up in microwave then pour into the cartridges.Then store until needed.NEVER use straight after microwaving.
We had nothing but problems with the system,leaked everywhere,cracked all over the top and was replaced several times at Sally's.I think there is or was a defect with it.This one was in the front treatment room and in the back we had the Clean and Easy system which was there all the time I worked in that salon which was over 6 and a half years.
Never had one trouble with the Clean and Easy system and I have one for my business and have had for about 5 years with no issues at all.
Incidently Clean and Easy do several different waxes,their Hemp is lovely,It's trial and error with all waxes,some you like and someyou hate.HTH a little
ps the Hive system we had all the issues with was the one that takes 6 cartridges all of the same size with a clear lift up lid.Personally I would avoid this model like the plague ot make sure you get insurance with it as we had abou 3 all with the same issues of cracking and leaking.
