If they are v. bad I soak mine in surgical spirit for a few mins and then it just wipes off. Or just wipe them over with surigical spirit if its not too bad. I find those sprays leave an oily residue and ar'nt all that good.

only prob with surgical spirit is that it can make the plastic crack. I use it mind lol. Ive actually been soaking my rollers in wax cleaner (i have been putting it in a cup on top of the radiator!! lol), then give them a wash in soapy water or a quick rinse with surge. I just HATE the smell of surgical spirit in my room!! it chokes me!

I use wax cleaner or remover or what ever its called (you can just use baby oil) I get some couch roll or kitchen roll in my hand put the roller head, roller bit down and pore a bit in the roller head and roll the wax off on the the kitchen/couch roll (roll the roller head over the kitchen roll back and forward till the wax is off). The do the same again with a bit surgical spirit!

Hope this makes sense.

You can also pop the head out, just gently prize one size up and it pops out. I then leave to soak in wax equipment cleaner, wash in hot soapy water and rinse with surgical spirit and pop the heads back in. That way you don't get any bits of wax left in and around the head.

:) Hi girls, thankyou so much for your help.

thanks from me too ladies. Just brought one today.

I Use Clean + Easy but i used to use Hive!

Clean + Easy is 10x better.

:)I chose the Hive waxing kit as it was on offer at Sallys and as it was a starter kit it had everything I needed to get started. I looked at the clean and easy kit and yes it looks very good but rather expensive for me just now as I am doing my specialist Beauty Diploma and have a lot of outlay.Who knows when I make my millions I may switch system.:hug:

hi

i too bought the hive roller wax system, i am not a beauty therapist but someone who works for me is, i am booked on a training course to learn the basics, we have been having a play on staff, we soaked in cleaning equipt just for a few hours completley cleaned the heads, but what about sterilizing how would you guys do this, i spoke to hive she said new head for every client then clean with the cleaning liquid which i did, but that doesn't seem enough for me, i will know more when i go on the basic course (with hive) but what do you do

I use the hive one and have used the clean and easy and to me there is no difference apart from the size of the cartridges and the pre and after products.

I clean my roller heads in wax remover and them use barbacide. Wouldnt recommend surgical spirit as will make the plastic crack over time.
