Hi

I rent a room in a hairdressers, and there's also a beauty salon in the same building. When I moved in I was told that the beauty therapist does pedicures so I couldnt do them, and I was ok with that (I suppose!)

Anyway, I'm doing a Brisa conversion next week, and at some point I would like to be able to offer gel toes, as the beautician doesnt do any form of enhancements so this would be a good way for me to get some feet work if you get my meaning! Since I mentioned it to the salon owner she has been really enthusiastic for me to do it because apparently they have had a few enquiries for Hollywood toes.

Are they one and the same thing, or are Hollywood toes something else?

I would bet they are the same thing. x

I just googled 'Hollywood Toes' and it looks like, they are indeed, gel toes. :)

NSI market it as Hollywood Toes so I would say yes

Hollywood toes are coloured gel overlays by Biosculpt. They market them as non chip nail polish.

They are good but biosculpt melt and go sticky in hot weather

this is what I also understood them to be! However if you have them like mine with rhinestones on then they are known as Marbella toes (or in my case Javea toes!)

I'v done bio for years and wear it on my toes all summer (and it go on holiday with)- it has never ever gone sticky and have never had a client who has said that either.

Because of that - it is one of my most requested treatment through the summer

xxx

Thanks guys!

I'm hoping that this could be an opening for me to start offering pedicures. The beauty therapist has just come back from maternity leave and is only doing 2 days a week, and I'd like to be able to offer pedi's in her absence. I've absolutely no intention of poaching her business, I dont work like that, but it would seem silly to turn someone away if they came in on one of her off days when I'm sat there qualified and able.

Thanks for the info on the toes ladies, much appreciated xx:green:

I do like bio sculpt but in over 40 degrees in Dubai or Bahrain the heat does effect them. English summer is fine and so is the med. Also I swim a lot while away so this doesnt help too

I was thinking of having Hollywood toes done for my hols in May...now, I am going to Gran canaria...hot hot hot...do you think they will melt?!!!...don't want to waste money...(the girl that does them uses NSI)? thanks

NSI is a buff off gel and it most definitely won't melt:)

Bio sculpt is soft gel and nsi is hard gel. Hard gel is more hard wearing and only comes off by filling and buffing. I am sure you will be ok

oh thanks for that, I will go ahead and book it.....:)

I live in Spain and I have them all summer long using Creative's Brisa and no probs at all. Just did mine today funnily enough, will try and take some pics this week and upload them.

I envy those that can do their own, being sort of well rounded with a dodgy hip means I can only do 2 toes on my right foot - not a good look:green:

ooh i cant beleive i just have them on my pricelist as "gel toes " :smack:that sounds so rubbish compared to "hollywood toes "
i am gonna change it to that instead coz it sounds soo much fancier , lol

I wore Bio over my toe nails last summer, when I removed the last lot at the end of summer I had a greeny on each big toe..eeeek,but I love doing my toe nails, putting on all the rhinestones,& stripes, hoping there will be quite a demand for it this year, and I will change my price list to..Hollywood toenails..lol.
