I keep reading about Hollywood Toes. Would someone explain to me what this is or point me in the right direction to get more information on it.
Thanks:)

Holly wood toes is just a way of describing french toe nails, usualy done with gels.
Heres how I do them.
1. prep as normal,
2. apply sticky layer, in pink, cure
3.apply paint on white french tip, cure
4. apply gel top coat, cure, remove tacky layer
Realy easy and nice for the summer, no need to build an apex on toes.
In about 4 or 5 weeks I buff off and start again, I use brisa but you can do it with any gels hope this helps xxxxxx

Thank you for your help.I have done gels on the toes before, for friend who already had them on, I have not done any since. I had never heard them referred to as Hollywood Toes until this site. Makes them sound much more fun:) I get requests for french on toes a lot. So basically it is using the gels do they don't chip, correct? How much do you add on using the gel polish versus regular polish? I would imagine it would not be the same as a full set, as we would not be sculpting or having to build up the apex, but I would think it would need to be a decent amount to cover cost of product and the added time of curing.

I use the same gels as I use for my sets, not a gel polish. Although that would work too of course.

I prep the nails, apply paint-on white, put a thin layer of builder on evenly (no arch) and then seal it off.

Or if I'm doing coloured toes, I prep, apply a thin layer of builder, apply colour and then seal.

I would charge about $15 less than a full set of gels.

Can also be done using P&W acrylic
