I know quite a few of you geeks on here do either one of the other. Has anyone tried both? Which did you find more sucsessful?
I gave up full time mobile work to work in a spa. I'm hating it there. It's slowly starting to grate on me.Being a wage slave with a bunch of bit**** just isnt for me. I have kept a few of my clients but most have gone elsewhere as most of my hours at the spa are 1-9pm. So I will be starting over again.
I still have all of my equiptment for mobile and have a spare room that I could do treatments from.
My question is what did you find the best way of doing things?
If I do clients from home what do I have to do apart from contact the mortgage lender and council?
Thanks in advance guys I really appreciate any replys  xxx

You will need to let your home insurance know as well.
I started off working from home and going mobile. I have only been asked to go mobile on the very odd occasion and was unable to as it was during the day when I had my children so they came to me instead and were quite happy to do this. So I would say to you to work from home if you can, as you have less hassle and no lugging heavy equipment about.
I am considering putting a callout fee on going mobile, as I really find it is so much more hassle and it is much easier to control your own environment.

Hi
January Last year I started mobile whilst working in a salon, I slowly built it up, in September last year I left my job and set up at home in my spare room. I don't do much mobile but I do offer it and all my mobile clients have now come to me as they say it's just as easy and it's more relaxing.
I told the council beacause I do electrolysis but other than that they weren't that interested.
We were renewing our house insurance and so many companies won't insurance as I have more than 2 clients coming into the house in a month. We are paying a bomb with Lloyds but it's only as long as I have my beauty insurance.
Also have you got parking???

Thank you for your advise hun. It is hard work mobile and i'm thinking the 30 mins too and from, i could be fitting more clients in!
I think maybe i'll just stick to spray tanning mobile? I think it's nice to just leave them to put their pj's on and stay at home. Plus im in and out in 20 mins. Thank you!!! xxx

God , yes of course...I completely forgot about telling the home insurance!
I am just in the middle of getting quotes for my drive as I know the council can be funny about parking. God it's a lot of hassle just to make a living hey!
I think i may do what you did and build my clients base up again before leaving my job.
Where abouts are you in Warwickshire? I used to live in Nuneaton! xxx
