Home business start up

Hi all, wondering if anyone who has set up a home salon can give me some advice please?
I am starting my own business from my home in 2020, my space will ideally be a cabin in my garden. Can anyone offer any advice or steps I need to take to have this all legally run from my home. any advice for a newbie would be welcomed.

The first thing to check out is whether you need planning permission from your local council. A telephone call to their planning office is the first step.
You might also need to check out landlord or mortgage company permission too.
Planners are very keen on you being able to provide adequate parking for your business. Where I am, I had to have 2 spaces + my own space, off the main road.
Everywhere is different though so you just have to ask.
