I've put in my application to do a fast track beauty NVQ 2 course at my local college!!

I have no idea what to expect and I will be sooooo nervous if i get on the course!!

I am 32 soon and currently do nails and tanning and thought i was happy with this but after my 2 year old woke up at 3.30am the other morning and i saw a programme on a beauty school, its kind of got under my skin!!

anyway i bit the bullet and called the college and went to complete application for same day!!

i dont have a lot of confidence! iam ok when i'm one on one with clients but i guess i am a born worrier!! andi hate to do new things on my own!!

now i'm not sure if i have done the right thing!!

Can anyone tell me what i can expect if i get on the course!!!

thanks
xxx

Hiya!

I didnt go to college until i was 25, with a two year old, but ive loved every minute of it. I gave up work an moved back in with mum and dad - thats how much I wanted it! I now i do it around my other job, but cant wait til i can do it full time. Im slowly building up a client base so fingers crossed!!

You really wont regret it, if you're passionate about it, its half the battle.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on!!

luv prettymiss xx

you will have alot of fun at college, its like going back in time and or seeing lots of young people around you, its fun sitting in the canteen or walking to and fro to class... you will also make friends in your class and as your all in the same boat you will help and support eachother as well as having a giggle... as far as work goes, your brain is a muscle once you start using it, it kicks in and you find you have the capability of retaining information and learning, whats great about learning this way is that its on your terms, your learning subjects you want to learn, which will make you excel, its not like at school and having to endure boring subjects.....all this boosts one's confidence and gets one motivated.... I highly recommend doing this, you cannot go wrong with education.... good luck, you will really be proud of yourself once your finished x

ps i was 35 and a single mom when i went to college :)
