I'm looking to book a break for the four of us, with the possibility of me and hubby having some quality time together - maybe go out for a meal for example whilst the kids are looked after for an hour or two.

When we went to Newquay there was a fab hotel called Sandbanks, it had a creche on 3 times a day and it is nice just to have an hour off to do your own thing.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

I'd love a nice little break around Easter. Pref. North England
Many thanks

Tbh hun, with the Madeline Mcann disappearance i'd be surprised if ou get any recomendations at all

surely there are safe places, such as Center Parcs? It's a creche I'm after within a hotel.

THink I've answered my question - Center Parcs!

 Well there ya go then :D x

Come to Wales! I'd love to see you all! This is actually quite a popular holiday area round here (Abersoch is the best known holiday place locally and thats about 5 miles away) and there's tons to do for families!

Try this....

Hafan y Mor Caravan Holiday Park in North Wales - Official Haven Holidays Website - big fun caravan park

or this

Gwynfryn Farm Self Catering Holidays - Home - self catering cottages

Plenty of space, right by the sea AND the mountains, and loads of gorgeous countryside!

You can't stop having time out from kids from the maddy case. So many kids out there and not many get kidnapped to be honest. Media frenzy adds and heightens things so much.
I am not taking away how scarey and frightening this world can be... but it needs to be keep in perspective. It's healthy for us as parents to have time out and good for kids to be able to be with others.
Maddy was asleep with no adults around......Tinky's asking if theres a place where you can leave your kids in a safe environment. Good social skills for the children... good recharge of batteries for the Parents.

It's scarey being the parent of a teenager... but you can't stop them going out.
I have a nephew who's not allowed to go out. (Control freak father), nd he struggles to make friends etc.
As long as you know your kids are safe, whatever the age, you do have to let them go.
Sorry I really rabbited then...........lol
Have a nice break wherever you go!!! xxxxxxxxxx

Have to agree completely with this, I'm a full time mum and look after 2 more, and never go out, when I rarely do it is without hubby as he has to babysit. Friends and family aren't nearby and I dont want to employ people to sit I don't know.

When we were in Newquay the hotel had a creche a minutes walk away from the restaurant. That's all I want. An hour or two off, to relax and unwind whilst my kids are taken care of by professionals.

Its a completely different scenario from the McCanns' as much as I feel for them it is totally different.

xx

I wasn't suggesting otherwise :!:

I know lovey and its a scarey world we live in

I just want a break where someone can look after my kids for an hour

Don't we all mate, the hols have drummed that fact home.

Hubby got in (day 1 of school hols mind) and the first thing i said was "fancy a weekend in Scotland,JUST US ? " he fell about laughing and said ,that bad ?

in the case of maddy, her parents left their kids alone they were not under the supervision of a professional childcare service

have a great time wherever you go

I would definately recommend centre parcs, great for kids and adults

I wasn't comparing the two,and i think tw know's that,i was merely saying that bearing that case in mind people may be reluctant making recomendations

Either i am comming across all wrong today,or being way misunderstood

I hope i have clarified and i assure you all no offence was intended

Have you looked at Haven holidays etc?
Haven Holidays | Caravan & Holiday Parks in the UK
They might have something to keep the kids quiet for a couple of hours.
If not there's a good atmosphere for all the family..if you like caravans...personally it's not for me, but the kids absolutely loved it and basically passed out at about 9pm through sheer exhaustion...leaving a couple of hours for a quiet drink together...etc:)

Oh don't worry Becki I know this may have sort of been misunderstood, but you have such a valid point and thanks for your input love.

Have been to Haven go every year on (£9.50 deal) Sun holidays but they have nothing like a creche, or anything

I think center parcs is the way forward and I will have to have a lookx

Thanks everyone xx
