How can I fix this?

Ahh so my friend sent me the picture below of her nail.... she said she smashed it in a door and that it’s really broken that low.

Normally we use the gel bottle builder in a bottle with OPI gelcolor polish....

Any idea how to fix this? I told her not to pull it off (she wanted to!). I had her band aid it.

Normally we file off the polish and soak off the builder....

Any suggestions I feel so bad for her. She was so happy her nails just started growing well!

I’d give it a couple of days before soaking off. That is going to sting like a mother with the acetone.

That looks cracked down to the nail bed to me. It’s open to infection, i think it needs properly dressing and the nail kept short until the bad bit has grown out x

Agreed... she’ll be so sad I already prepared her for that. She’s going on vacation next week
