:) Hiya, ive just signed up with salon geek and im after advice on nails lifting.

Where do i start!! I done a home learn course with Essential Nails last year on Acrylic overlays. Got my certificate in October and was chuffed to bits, ive been practising on friends and family up until now, but really want to go mobile, however im having serious problems with lifting.
I was told the best products to use are creative nails, so i got some retention liquid and creative powders, but guess what they still lifting!!!
Im making sure not to get product on cuticle or side walls, and they look lovely when done but a couple of days later they start to lift.
Also when filing acrylic after its dry, little patches are sometimes there, like little crater marks.

Any advice please!!

My first question for you would be.........
Where did you buy your Creative Retention & powders from hun?

You cannot buy these products unless you have had 'Creative' Training, so I'd be a little unsure as to whether you have 'actually' got what you think you have?
Your ratio sounds like it's well out, if you have 'craters' - another reason why you need to train in each product.

Tell us how you do your prep procedure with your ES nail Dream products & how you do them with your 'Creative' Products
, as both products are very different.
You need to undergo training with your chosen brand to get the best out if it. I've been 'doing nails' for almost 6 years now & I would not go near anyone without taking the correct training with each brand I use. My insurance would not cover me for one thing.

Who is your insurance through at the moment, you need to have some if you are working on the general public & charging them. You will not be covered correctly if you have no training in the products you are using.

I would highly recommend a conversion course with creative their products are fab, the staff are fab and the end results are fab! I have just completed 2 courses & thoroughly enjoyed them. You get products too on the conversion so it is brill value for money. Call sweet squared for info but as Bev says u shouldn't really be using them b4 u train in their system as all products are different x

deffinatly do a converstion course hun also before you go mobile get some salon experiance under your belt experiance is key you learn alot about how you like to do you nails and also you get to see how others do nails which is a big help trust me. experiance is key its all well you doing fam and friends but perfessionals can tell you were your going wrong and what you need to inprove on xx

Yes, diferent brands need different techniques. Even thow a good base procedure is still mostly the same and makes a huge diference. Have you read the articles and tutorials on this site? I can tell they make a huge diference. My life after "Perfect Preparation" has never been the same!

Hi bev, thanks for your reply,
i got my creative products from 'tailor made nails' a girl who's done nails for years recommended their website.
I havent got any insurance yet as im only doing my mams and sisters nails, i wont advertise my nails until they stay put!! But its knocking my confidence a bit when they keep lifting,
i might try and get in a salon for some experience .xx

Tailormade nails is not an authorised Creative supplier here in the UK.

If for any reason they were unable to supply you then without a Creative training certificate you would not be able to buy it officially anywhere else.

It would certainly be in your interest to do a conversion through Sweet Squared and then be able to buy your products legitimately and be able to proudly call yourself a qualified Creative technician.
