How do you advertise?

Hey,
how do you all advertise your business, people seem to be doing alot on facebook, would like to hear how you lot do it

I have a site, actually more than one - coded it myself etc but I can't say it's an effective way - here at least.

I get enough visitors - more than enough if at least some of the hits transformed into calls but..
Then I post adds on Internet boards. It's a bit more effective I suspect.

They are hyping up social networks as a way to advertise here, too, but when I think that it's all over again - you have to figure out how to do it on your own again I feel tired..
