I have one handpeice in for repairs and the other one has taken a poop! Any idea how to take it apart to see if I can fix it, so I don't have to handfile everyone in the X-Mas rush?

The end with the cord coming out of it is the end to take off.
Does it make noise and not move?
That happened to me. My husband and brother in law thought this was a great "project".
They found out that the gears were slipping.
Good luck!
