Hi there i am going on hol on 2nd july for 2 weeks and want to get a leg and underarm wax before i go, how long does the hair need to be before i have it done, and how long does it take to grow, i have about half an inch of growth at the moment, shal i just let it grow til i have the wax? Thanks

Yes, definitely leave it to grow, you will get a better result from the wax

yeah was thinkin that thanks alot

I tell new clients that I want no less than 3 weeks growth from the last time they shaved, or length equal to 1/4" or length of a grain of rice.

seems long enough now from your description, my lovely!

Don't forget the after care instructions about no heat or sun for a couple of days! Us waxers want you to be as smooth as possible! Just plan it for a couple of days before you fly!

The hair may be long enough already, but it's pretty pointless waxing so far in advance of the holiday.

wel i was thinkin of having it done on the saturday, we fly on the thursday is that enough time to leave it before i go?

Hi everyone!

I have a similiar question, would a month be long enough between waxing for men's back?

Hi everyone!

I find that most of my clients ( I specialise in male waxing ) it tends to be every 4 to 6 weeks between waxing, though i would say a month is ok, i do have a gut who comes every 3 weeks, and I have to say I have to look very carefully as there is not that much hair growth, but he is happy with that and likes to stay as smooth as possible, I am always happy to check if the client is not sure if there is enough growth, regds Philip

Totally agree. She'll want to be hair free for as much of her holiday as possible.

I'd leave it until 2 days before you go.

Ye-ye-ye-ye-yeah. As I said; "plan it for a couple of days before you fly".

I'm so confused! Why when I typed these words exactly did two people not read it and then contradict my post?? A guy could really take offence about being called pointless - when a post is not read properly.

Ho hum - I thought I was helping . . . . . . . (where's the smiley for shuffles off into the corner in shame?)

Hi Jason

Please don't take offence, I wasn't calling your advice pointless, merely re-iterating that although the hair may be long enough now, it is best to wait til a few days before the holiday.

Friends?

I was speaking to the posters on this thread generally......not to you personally, so you can stop sharpening your spatula. :)xxx

Phew! Crisis avoided! I'll pop my freshly made wax-arrows back in the holster! (for now!)

And yes - we seem to all agree Kelly-Tara; you'll be fine with your appointment Saturday.

HAVE A FABULOUS HOLIDAY!

Ok thanks everyone
