:smack: Hi guys, i have a question for all you nail tech and beauty therapists, how many of you are fully qualified and have a very good mobile business. I seem to have found in derbyshire there is so many people at it that it is very difficult to get a permanent client bace. My princess parties have worked a treat but obviously there is no full time work in this area. Alos because people are strugglin financially beauty is a last on there list. How do you guys find it

I'm a full time mobile Nail Tech, and although I'm not fully booked all the time I do make a living from it. I've been mobile for 3 years and it does take time to build a client base but it's more than possible if you are committed and passionate! You need to be professional and prepared to invest - I pay for Yellow Pages advertising, an enhanced Yell.com listing and have done newspaper advertising as well. It takes more than putting a few leaflets through doors to build a client base.

On top of that you need to be committed to ongoing training and self-development - being the best you can be helps the word of mouth referrals. Nails is not quick or easy money but it's so worth the investment......

i no what you mean it is hard. I've only been moile since November last year and i'm just starting to get busy now really with people getting to no i'm around. I think the best thing is word of mouth, and standing out from the competition aswell. I just make sure i put in 110% on every client and make sure they re-book aswell! Also keeping up with regular advertising keeps your name out there and helps people to remember you.

:)
