I sent her an email ages ago asking how much it would cost to buy the training video and it worked out to £120 for the video and postage.

Personally, I thought that was just a tad too much

Lori's DVD is excellent and well worth the investment, I can highly recommend it - you'll make your money back on the time you save through the tips she offers alone.

A lot of UK insurers now require therapists to attend specialist training before they will provide cover for Brazilian waxing. This will be even more vital in the coming months when the new National Occupational Standards / NVQ units on intimate waxing are introduced (which I was involved in).

yeh i agree , he does know his stuff and it make me proud to be a male beauty therapist. Therapists in todays industry need to be on the ball as our industry is constantly changing , striving for high standards and underpinning knowlege. And from reading every ones messages and forum submitions it prooves that we do know our stuff. As an industry we can help professionals understand the importance of up to date training and why education is important , not just for our beneift but for our clients as well.

Lol, nothing secret as far as I'm aware - in response to the increased popularity and lack of standardised training around Brazilian/Hollywood waxing, Habia are in the process of finalising new occupational standards and NVQ units for male and female intimate waxing. This will hopefully ensure that therapists offering these services in the future will have a recognised level of training. Note that these are optional units intended to facilitate ongoing professional development and the achievement of additional skills, they are not a compulsory element of the current Level 2 or Level 3 awards.

I'm not sure of the roll-out date, but watch this space!

Lol, the new year will see the launch - I want to run the best training I can offer, so took my time with research and making sure everything would meet the new Habia standards. Don't worry, I'll be sure to let you know when it's all ready to go
