I am doing my first set of L&Ps on a friend tomorrow but do not have much Retention+ left and have just realised! How much Retention+ per set do you think you use?

When i first started out i got through loads, poss because my nails were a bit bulky etc but as they've become more refined i only use about half a dappen dish full of it, depends what your doing and how long the nail etc; but go with however much you need; i tend to fill up a bit and add more if i need it as it prevents waste cause you cant pour it back!! :)

I work on 1oz does me 4 sets or 4 rebalances.

I may get 5 rebalances out of an ounce.

Obviously it depends on how long nails are etc.

hth

Yep me too, when I started I was always ending up with cloudy liquid because I wasn't getting my ratio right and I wasn't wiping my brush of enough before re dipping, so you would probably need to 3 quarters fill your dappen dish 2 or 3 times for a full set. Remember to have fun tomorrow, every set you do takes you closer to being a nail tech and further away from that job you hate:hug:

3/4 of a CND dappen dish (the plastic one with kit) normally does me.....

I used to have a 'wet' problem and got through more, but touch wood ive conquered the 'wet'.

Good luck MrsR

You know those really crappy plastic dappen pots...the small one you get?
Well I use that just under half full for my white....then same again for my pink...

No idea if that is too much or not....

Hope you work out you have monomer to spare! Good luck with the set. xx

yuo need one pipette full of liquid approx per client!!

Well I am using a lot more at the mo as my mix ratio's are still bad so am not doing the set as won't have enough, also I'm not quite with it at the mo as well so best not go near someones nails.

Do you think you are using using more because you have been used to the nail trainer?

You will find that you will use less on real nails.

Hope you feel better about everything soon.

I'd say go and buy some more monomer and do it. You need to keep practising and it really is so much easier on a real person. xxx

Or could it be that your mix ratio is okay but you're wiping on your tissue too much? xx
