Hi hunni

I charge £25 for Minx mani or pedi in my salon, and I have had one or two people comment it is on the cheap side - one of my clients use to go somewhere else and they charged £32. I'm going to stick with £25 though x

charge £22 pedi and £20 mani solon near me is £25.:( or id charge more...

Just had my first set of Minx done :) Love it! It was £25 and I just had my toes done. Sooo tempted to start doing Minx now! x

I know of a few salons around this area, West Yorkshire and they've ranged from £20-28.. how long is the process?

I'm going on the course soon and just wondering how long in comparison to doing a full set of acrylic fingers :)

Hi,
When it was introduces did S2 give any guidance as with SHELLAC eg. 50% on top of regular man/ped
just wondering as it takes the guesswork out of it regardless of what area you work in or price you charge
x

I charge £25 for fingers and toes.

This is all interesting stuff! I'm thinking about going on the Minx training course. I'm a student at uni so it would be more for recreational purposes, and maybe trying to do some work at xmas time.

I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the cost of the products themselves. I understand in order to get free Minx training I need to buy a kit which will presumably include necessary primers and whatnot, but I'm wondering what the costs of doing Minx on a regular basis are. If you guys are charing £20 to £25 per set, how much is profit and how much is going on your materials?

I went on the Sweet Squared website but it says 'log in to see prices' and of course you can only 'log in' if you are a pro.

I'd really appreciate any information on this subject! Thank you very much in advance!

Grace.

You would be best calling S2 to discuss. They will go over all the costs with you.

I'm both mobile and home studio based, and I charge £25.

One of my clients told me that a nail tech about 3 miles away has started doing them for £15. Fantastic... because I was the only one in my area before, I've got half an office building (where this client works) who think I'm some rip-off artist because of what I charge. I don't mind competition, but I hate being undercut like that.

I wouldn't have given them a second thought if I heard there was a Minx tech offering them for £20-30. But £15?

I'm not dropping my rate though - I've got two years of experience putting these on, and when I put them on they STAY on. My work is worth £25. If people want cheap, they can have cheap. But not by me. :wink2:

Sorry to hear you're being undercut Seraphine! I paid £25 in a salon yesterday, and I think that's a good price for fab toes for up to six weeks! I think yo

My friend picked up a pricelist for a mobile therapist the other day and she was literally charging peanuts for everything. There's no way the girl can be paying tax and covering insurance, petrol, products etc let alone making a profit!

Ooops sorry about the unfinished sentence in my post above. I meant to say that my gut would tell me to keep my prices the same as always - but it is hard when someone's undercutting by so much.

Hi grace, have you done any training in nails, mani and pedi? as to apply minx you would need to have that qualification if yoou are working with the public, as you need insurance and need to know contraindications and such like, its not just about applying minx.

xx

I know what you mean by being undercut. A sunbed shop on the same block as me does it all the time to me. It['s so annoying.:irked:

I charge 20 but if they want a speedy pedi with it i charge 30, this doeant take much longer as you obviously have to clean feet and do cuticle work with the minx anyways. xxx
