How old to work in a sunbed/beauty salon?

quick query, i need a very part time receptionist for 2/3 nights a week for 2/3 hours, how old do they have to be to work in a sunbed/beauty shop?

I only ask because i know of a couple of 17 yr olds that could do the job well but don't want to fall foul of any laws!!!

So long as they have their national insurance number, they can work, there is a limit on hours for young workers, but I'm pretty sure that applies to under 16's and the hours you are talking about wouldn't pose a problem anyway.
