Hi,

How popular are you with mani's or pedi's, ruffly how many bookings for this do you get weekly/monthly for these treatments?

thanks x

Both are popular but often seasonal.
Manicures for me are popular in the winter months whilst pedicures are more popular in summer.
I have recently moved, so starting up my client base again. Based on my old area I was doing probably about 15 manicures a week and 8 pedicures.
But it varied due to times of the year xxx

Wow thats very good

But bareing in mind it does take you a while to build these customers.
I promote these treatments quite a lot as i love doing them and always push people to book in one months time as it really annoys me when they come to you with a problem but only want to come once, then come back 3 months later and they have undone all the hard work you have done!

Are you planning on doing a course hun? xxx

I already do have all my tanning clients so will be sure to promote the new service to them, got some new leaflets today printed.

Ive already done my training last year for the mani and pedi's but never had the confidence or time to get doing them on clients just family and friends.

xx

Oh well at least you have kept your skills up.
Now is probably about the right time to advertise for pedicures as people want their feet looking wonderful for summer (if we get one lol). So great time of year to get one client booked in twice a week!

Good luck with it hun xxx

Getting out there and promoting your hand and nail treatments is just one of many things that can build your confidence hun:hug:....offer an incentive to friends of your family if they book a manicure or pedicure...say a little goodie if they book a treatment or a percentage off first treatment...practise all you can....let yourself be an advert for treatments, and have well groomed nails....do a refresher course if you need to,do a little skill building or a retail course if you want to be a "step above" and keeping your clients educated with home care...it will come in time,if YOU let it....i for one have not much confidence, but there is still a burning desire and drive to keep on top form and mentor with other techs is paramount:hug:...

Natural nail care is a wonderful world, and like you this is what i love together with gels....this site is very invaluable....and when researching and asking for advice...there is always some one at hand....just maybe step out of your comfort zone and go for it...you will get so much back in return:hug:

Thank you for your fab advice!
Few days ago i done my mum a lovely pedicure with some pretty rhinestones too. And she said it was great (i told her to be very honest as i will be providing the same service for clients) She said the foot massage was great and the toes look fab which has boosted my confidence a bit more.

I will be also doing my 2 sisters today.
What has really gave me the confidence to start providing manicure and pedicure for my clients is- My sister got married last week and she called round a beauty therapist to do her french toes and it turnt out really bad it wasnt done professionaly and her feet didnt look as though they had been pampered previous to this i told my sister to let me do them she said well ive booked in the therapist already, i done my toes in french and they looked amazing! My sister then saw mine and said i really wish i had let you do mine as they wouldof looked so good.

And this really gave me confidence to think well if i can do a better job than another therapist who has been proving that for the public then i should start doing it.

:green: Plus im a perfectionist and have to make sure nails are 100% perfect
