Hi,,
i have a client next week who has gel on toes on.

she wants that soaked off, a pedicure and then gel put back on,

whats the best way time wise to do this?

soak off gel on one foot and then do pedicure bit on the other whilst waiting, and then swap?

thanks!

Is it a soak off gel? If not then you will not be able to soak it off.

If whatever is on the toes looks ok then I would be likely to perform a 'rebalance' on the toes, buff down quite a bit and re do, you dont have to worry about the placement of the apex though when doing this.

I would rebalance the toes first and then go onto the full pedicure, that way she ends with the nice relaxing treatment.

I personally prefer 'not' to do wet pedi's just prior to uv gel application.
Same applies to wet mani's.

It can weaken the adhesion. Nail plates, whether on fingers or toes absorb water.

Better to do the refill, then the pedi afterwards as a finishing touch.

I'm curious, why on earth soak them off?
More cost effective for HER to have them filled and takes less time as well.

I would definitely do the pedicure after re-doing the gel toes.. that was you are treating the cuticle and surrounding tissue after carrying out the buffing etc. and are not applying moisture just to remove it again after.

its a soak off gel. and she has a dark colour on and wants to go lighter so i def cant do an infill!

Oh sorry.. I would still do the pedicure after applying the new set to avoid putting too much moisture into the nail plate before applying the gel. Plus, as someone has said it would be nice for the client to finish the treatment with a nice relaxing massage. :)
