How to get hair colour out of carpet?

I've just had a message from a friend asking if I know how to get colour out of carpet!

Can anyone help please?

If its fresh spray with hair spray to stop it oxidising then spot treat it with vanish....blotting it up and apply more vanish till gone, failing that....claim on insurance x
