How to remove OPI varnish from acrylic nails?

Just a quickie, my sister got a set of acrylics done yesterday and had them put opi polish on top, only today she decided she doesn't like the color and wants me to shellac them instead. How do I remove the polish without damaging the acrylic? And how do I need to prep them for the shellac?

As you are applying Shellac you can buff off the polish with a 180 grit file then apply your colour coats of Shellac then topcoat.

If you were just applying more polish then an acetone free polish remover would remove the old polish first.
