Do you prefer to use these by themselves. I notice that most of them are quite subtle with clear powders already in, or mix them with another colour acrylic e.g. white or a colour powder.

What have other people done and how were the results?

Thank you for any replies. I don't want to put them straight on and not like the result.

Hiya,

I can't see why you've not had much response from the more experienced EzFlow techs - mind you it's Sunday & I'm drinking my first G&T of the day & running in the kitchen to check the beef every now & then, so I guesss that's why.
I recently did an EzFlow conversion and bought this set of Boogie Nights powders together with the Walk of Fame ones.

I have used 'Funky Town' as a free edge colour and it looks very subtle & pretty (it's on my daughter's nails & she's at school).
On my conversion, most of the pale/clear powders (brick house is one i remember) seemed to be used over the top of designs, but tbh, mosd of the glitters then seem to give off a greenish glitter, not so multi-coloured as I thought they would be.
They are really pretty though. I can't see any reason why you cannot mix them, but it would have to be with other EzFlow powders & then use the EzFlow monomer. I know you can use the 'Boogie Nights' kits/powders with ANY monomer tho. I see from your profile you use NSI.
My next purchase with be the 'BN Rainbow Candy' - these are more solid coloured powders with added glitter. Tbh I could spend a fortune on these gorgeous powders!!

Just found this pic I did recently using clear tips & 'Hot Stuff' from the D2BD kit

....can't upload it in this post I'll put it on another for you hun. xx

HTH x:hug:

Here it is hopefully....'Hot Stuff on clear tips...

What kind of look are you looking for?

They look really nice on a clear tip or sculpted as a free edge as Bev has shown above.....or use with a block colour on the nail bed for a fun french!

They also look really pretty on the nail bed just to sparkle up a french.

The holographic film is mulitcoloured but it does depend on the lighting you're looking at them in, in a dull light they are more green and gold.

I haven't mixed them with other powders myself but see no reason why not to.....only mix with other EzFlow powders though.

Why not try your design on a clear tip first, then you'll get the effect.

If D2BD powders can be used with any monomer, then surely A1 Nails will be ok to mix them with her NSI powders so long as she used her NSI monomer too?

I'm only asking so that I am clear on the 'rules' - Incase I oneday accidently blow up my nail beds!!

i think cathie means... only mix the ezflow boogie nights powders with ezflow powders
the boogie nights are pre mixed ezflow polymers not just glitter iykwim
so she wouldnt be mixing different brand polymers together

she would be fine using the dare to be dazzling powders with her traditional monomer.... naturally you get better results with ezflow q mon ;)

i use the dare to be dazzling in many ways....
they are v pretty just on their own or a very easy way to sell to your clients is to use them instead of your regular p&w

i often use them to cap my design work or overlay a design powder when creating a nail design

i have also used them to make different coloured/glitters by custom blending them

here a few links to where i have used the dare to be dazzling in my gallery

Personally I wouldn't recommend intermixing any brands whether monomers or polymers.....

Currently I am wearing a French look, with Truly White in zone 1 (with a deep smile)
I extended my nailbed with HD Cover Pink...but then I used Foxy Lady from D2BD over zones 2 & 3....giving a great look, with crisp, sharp white zone 1 and shimmery glittery zones 2 &3!!
