HI, im gutted my daughter has her first proper interview today so last night i waxed her eyebrows for her which i havnt done for ages and iv grazed them all. They loo so sore and are bright red this morning, any tips on help covering them up a little interview is at 10.30 omg they look a right mess.I did her friend after and she was fine nothing at all not even any erethema!
She had let them grow loads so was a lot of hair to take off, i think iv gone over too mouch on same area probly {should only be twice i know but what with talking etc} or not pulling skin taunt enough, i used oil like wax queen suggested.Of all the days to have a disaster!:cry::cry:

Why is it always at the worst time that something goes wrong?
Don't worry, this has happenned to all of us at some point. some aloe vera gel over the redness may help to calm it down. A good mineral powder foundation may help cover up the redness...

I know it's too late for the interview but if they are still red put some ice wrapped up in some kitchen roll on them. Hope the interview went ok.

Hi, the interview went well they will let her know in 2 weeks as thats when the job starts so fingers crossed. Iv been putting some solar oil on them she says it seams to be easing them abit. x

Hello there

glad the interview went well

these are things you have to consider.

What wax did u use

the temprature

Is she on any medication at the time?

I suggest nooo make-up pores will still be open and swell.

antiseptic cream or salt compress, solor oil is also ok

it should go down in a day or two but just watch out for any blistering etc as this can happen on the odd occasion.

she might of just been sensitive to the wax u used babyliss is a good wax to use ( SATIN SMOOTH GOLD

My clients say that it does,nt hurt like some wax they have had from other salons, but at the end of the day its the tenique of the therqpist tbh

hope she is ok soon

Just on a further note on this one, I read the original post and believed that it was at least 8 hours since the waxing had taken place as the daughter had woken up - and that's why i recommended a good mineral foundation, like Susan Posnick or ID Bare Minerals, something that doesn't clog pores and still enables the skin to breathe.

Just don't want anyone to think that i would suggest putting make up on newly waxed skin - of course that is a big No No!!

Glad to hear it all went well.
