....and I forgot the head wrap as well. My natural hair color is dark blonde. This high lift with a 30 developer. Is it possible that because I didn't leave it on long enough and I didn't put the head wrap on that a second try would lift more even if it is just one level more? Or at least even out the pigments? My Mom is an old-school hairdresser and she tells me that this is doable but I keep reading that dye can't lift dye. Is my case an exception to the rule though? I have also read stories of other girls who tried another application and it did in fact lift their hair 1 to 1 and half levels. They were using high lift dye and the previous go around they made my mistake too.

Thank you in advance.

I appreciate you letting me know.

I am in quarantine so I won't be seeing a color specialist for this reason. The close contact concerns me.

Adding any colour onto already coloured hair will just cause saturation and make it look even darker plus you’re opening the cuticle layer unnecessarily which can cause further damage.

Is it better to just have my mom bleach my hair when it's time do touch ups? Or is it okay to have a "bleach bath"? I'm just scared of bleach but I really hate my color right now and I definitely don't want to go darker.

Let your Mum do it. She can see what’s happening much better.
