My guess is it sat in the delivery truck and froze, but will this ruin my primer? I noticed that my product was lifting so I threw it away. Did I throw away perfectly good primer? Has this every happened to any of you, and is it ok if primer freezes during delivery?

No its luckily never happened to me mate but it would make me wonder a little if this DID happen.
Get on the phone to whoever delivered it and tell them about it. Let them know your side of the tale.
I'm not saying you had lifting issues due to this but all the same I would find out why you had this problem mate.
I always think of my prep and product application first if I have a problem so think about it and let them know if you are guessing ..

quick, go through the bins and get it back !!!

primer freezes at relatively high temperatures so it happens really easily.

but it will be fine to use one its warm again.

lifting is usually down to insufficient prep or problems with application.

primer will freeze at low temps....you haven't wasted your money.....your system needs it....whichever system you are using....as I can's see at a glance since the site changed lol! x

I try to be "whats the word" lol
I don't look at many peoples profiles now tbh cos I would HATE them to think I was a "nail stalker"
This does give me a slight uneasiness I have to say.
BUT your story about the primer doesn't necessarily add up hun.

I don't know what you mean about my story not adding up? What I mean is, you know how extreme heat or extreme cold can damage monomer? Well I was just wondering if extreme cold can damage primer as well since my primer was delivered to me full of ice crystals. I did allow it to come to room temperature before using it, but since I used the new (ice crystal primer) I noticed that I had some lifting issues with clients, so I was just wondering if it was due to contaminated primer or if the extreme temperature change may have ruined it. Let me explain that since I have known how to do nails since 99, I am still a newbie as making it my new full time career and I am still very clueless about certain things. Thanks for all your help!

Just an FYI- High quality monomer isn't damaged by extreme temps, just needs to be used at the correct temp. Working in Alaska for as many years as I did, almost everything freezes on its way up in the winter months! I use Moxie in the winter time, and Retention+ in summer months...

No mate..sorry I never meant it the way you understand
sometimes we can have a language of our own on this site..no insult to you x
I would send it back and ask for another ...so sorry you got the wrong end of the stick mate x

I used to live in a place that used to get very cold, i had this problem with my primer in the morning. If you roll the bottle inbetween your palms it will warm up the bottle with your body heat and the ice crystals return to liquid it will be fine to use.

Cathie! is so right.

When I was mobile, my primer used to freezer in the boot of the car sometimes inside my case. I've never had it cause a problem.

Primer freezes at very low temperature....fact! Try keeping it in ambient conditions......probably stuck in transit as you said.

Are you saying I'm a nail stalker Judy?

I totally agree...so I hope you haven't lost it in the trash!!
Primer can freeze at 55 degrees! so it is very easy to do.
Just bring it back up to a decent temp and you can use it, and as Cathie says if your system calls for their primer to be used then you should use it.

HTH

Yes, unfortunately I have already tossed it. Let this be a lesson to me to ask first :) Thanks for all of your responses lest I continued to do this each time!
