Hi Geeks,
I wonder if anyone can help. I use IBD gel polish and was asked to put a few dots on the ring fingers, also using gel polish. I put on the base colour and just before I put on the top coat I dotted a different colour on top. once it was cured it had bled slightly. the effect is quite nice and subtle but was wondering if it can be avoided???:irked:

thanks

Hi I use IBD, did you cure the colour layer before adding the dots ?
I tend to top coat , cure then nail art and top coat again, and haven't had any problems , have you tried using acrylic paints or konad polish for nail art as I've found these to be pretty good ?
I'm sure someone will be along that can offer more help x

Thanks Dexy,
No I didn't topcoat first, I'll try that next time.
I haven't used acrylic paints either, I'll try those too.
Thanks so much :)

You can make some good effects with acrylics including the one stroke nail art, need to make sure it's completely dry before top coating as I found out lol x

If you remove the tacky layer of colour before you apply nail art or gel dots then top coat and cure. This has always worked for me xx
