hi, ive had in house training of ibd gel (not soak off). im finding that im taking 2hrs/ 2hrs 15mins for a full set. longer than i did with brisha gels.

could some one write down their routine for a full set of french gels (pink and white) just incase you do something different to get my speed up abit.

also could i use brisha white paint gel with the ibd gel/ builder gel? i was thinking cos you paint it on like a polish it wouldnt take as long.

any info would be grately recieved

Hi Kels,

My routine can vary, depending on coverage etc. But for a regular set of p&w's heres what i do;

prep as usual
(I skip the bonder)
One layre of pink gel
cure
xtreme white, starting on the little finger of right hand, cure for 10 secs, while applying to little finger on lefty, cure for 10 secs, while applying white to ring finger on the right and so on.
full cure
Apply either pink or clear builder to the nail (building apex) not the whites.
cure
One clear layre
cure
remove stickiness
buff if needs be
apply intense seal
cure
done!

Hope this helps, it always takes longer to learn a new system I think.

thank you for your help yours seems so much less complecated than how i was shown.

this is what i got shown:-

prep as normal
put bonder on
wipe excess off
cure
xtreme white on four fingers
cure
xtreme white on the other four fingers
cure
2nd layer of extreme white on four fingers
cure
2nd layer of extreme white on the other four fingers
cure
xtreme blush up to the xtreme white
cure
layer of clear builder gel
cure
wipe residue off
buff/file
intense seal
done

your way seems so easy, how long does it take you to do a full set?
do you think id be ok to use another companies white gel with the ibd?

I'm not sure why they get you to use two layres of white, the extreme is practically 100% opague, one layre does me, some may require a wee touch up if there is shawdowing, but thats mainly down to my application if done wrong, not the gel.

I wouldnt recommended using another companies white, white gel can be finicky, it reflects the light and needs longer to cure, so other systems my have higher or lower curing time depending on their lamp watage etc.

Practice with the extreme white, almost always i can get a great smile and coverage in one go, with a not going thick, it's all about application in my opinion.

My times vary, a full new set can take me 2 hrs, but I dont do enhancements all day everyday, if I did I'm sure my time would cut way down, also, I'm a 'chatter' which slows me down too, In a salon situation I have to have them done in an hr or at most an hr and a half. Rebalances take me about an hr and a half. Most of this however is taken up by curing times, I am getting another lamp shortly, so hopefully that will take my time down, also I have to stop talking haha :green:

Good luck hun, Iv been using IBD for a couple of years now (I do enhancements part time) and I'v only good things to say about it.

Oh just another wee point, stir your gels ina kinda folding motion to get the most of the colour as the pigment can sometimes sit at the bottom if not used regularly.
