Hi all ,
I have a girl due for a full set of nails next friday and she wants a set of funky nails ! I last did on her a set of pink glitter 6 weeksago but she wants a change something funky. I am soo stuck.
I have no practice doin funky nails any ideas would be great.
Thanks all xx

It's a bit difficult with out you giving us a clue as to what your client would thing is funky or not funky, iykwim!

Some peoples funky can be another persons nightmare lol!

What's she 'in to', does she want handpainted nail art, something encased in her nails, design/flowers etc.

Have a look through the nail art gallery on here, there are some very gorgeous nails on here.

xxxxxx

sorry hun i was a bit vague. Thats all said said funky. She loves loud bright colours. I was thinking bright orange with black flicks.
But i wil check out the gallery thnx

How about bright orange with green glitter tips, I did these for a client, they actually looked great when they were done I have a pic on my website, but the green doesnt show up as bright as it was really.... x

When I want funky nails (every time I do my nails hehe) I never do every nail the same. I usually either do each nail different on each hand (but each hand matching, if that makes sense?) or I have all the nails the same except the wedding ring finger, and the corresponding finger on the right hand (like a 'feature nail' on each hand).
Id just bring out your collection of nail art stuff and coloured acrylics and see what catches her eye on the day, I think if you plan it too much you will just be anxious.
Usually when I am doing nails which are to be 'funky', I dont have a plan, I just get started and see where my creativity takes me :)

Good luck

I love abit of oul funk!
Cheap change = aqua effects which are like flat dots/hexagons of foil that you put under a gel top coat. they are 2-tone and change with the light they look like fish scales

Colour Change= If she still has the pink glitter on I would re-white her and use a lime green as suggested or traffic light nails - soft green at smile fade into soft orange fade into soft pink/existing pink.
tho as she's had pink on so long she prob wants a complete change.

Cha-ching Change = acrylic swirls with contrasting colours either side - see my profile but be warned these took ages and cost €120 :green:

Your only limited by your imagination, something simple can sometimes be the most funky - Have fun!

thankyou loads of ideas.
i'm goin to practice a few ideas on myself.. i will check you profile out thanks.
I won't think to much . It hurts anyway lol x
