If I am trained in acrylic, can I convert to gel?

It's years since I trained and I didn't like acrylic, I'd like to offer gel toes - do I need a qualification in this? I am not used to gel, I've dabbled in it but still not used to it.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I've a question for you: would you go to some one who was not trained?

I'd get some training if I were you. Also, the place I purchased my gel products from and trained with said we cannot work on clients without proper training & something about 'not being covered for liability insurance' without training.

I assume it is the same for every where else... ?

why not do a conversion course, cheaper than doing a full course from scratch. i know capital offer these for ibd, think CND do a conversion too, would imagine most companies do, why not ring around and see what you can find out

im not a nail pro so sorry if this is wrong but i thought for instance your qualified to carry out acrylic nail extension services but not trained up in gel right? so there for you would have to be trained up in gel to to a gel conversion to a different product.

sorry if im wrong nail geeks :o
