Hello all, i have enrolled today on an acrylic nail 10 week course at bolton college. It starts november 26th and i can't wait! I feel like the little kids on the disney advert who wont sleep because they are too excited, but i cant not sleep between now and then lol!
Does anyone have any hints and tips on anything i can do between now and then to prepare? they said i dont need any kit or anything at first but just wondered if there was anything worth reading/researching etc. I'm a teacher and i just know this is course is going to be the perfect excuse to put off marking work for that little bit longer lol! I'm sure ill be on here with a million and one questions when i start too.
thanks everyone x

Have fun and enjoy ...

Read "Nail Structure & Product Chemistry " by Doug Schoon

It is a fantastic book and really helps your understanding of how products work and why. It is not dull or difficult and when you start your class .. you will know more than your teacher!!

Oh yes, that book is a must read, got me through my Masters..... well my fab Ambassador had a tad to do with that to. But honestly it is written in such a way that it is like a page turner. Undestand the science and you will understand the product and its little secrets.

Thank you for the replies. Those books sound great and I will definitely try and get one to start reading.

Good luc with your training doll) Dont stress out too much, Take Gigi's advice and read the Nail structure and chemistry book first, as you will understand whats involved and how its made. Take it slowly and thoroughly.

There are a lot of helpful threads, articles and tutorials here, and all of us:hug:

Gigi's book is also invaluable...its called Nailclass by Gigi Rouse...Its so easy to uinderstand
