Hi all. I have been waxing for a couple of years now and i use a roller wax system. I have one lady in particular that has really bad ingrown hairs on her legs. i have been waxing her for a few months but her hair is very stubborn on her legs and it takes me over an hour to do half a leg wax because of the amount of ingrown hairs etc. i was wondering if anyone could sugest a wax or any other product that they use with their clients that have same problem as i would really like to o a good job for her. many thanks in advance x

Does she do any aftercare at all ie exfoliation and moisturising,Are the hairs just lying as straight hairs below the surface or are they quite deep?.
Sugar strip wax works well when people are continually prone to ingrowns i dont know why it just does.

There are a couple of things you can suggest to help. Regular but gentle exfoliation with a scratchy mitt, use of PFB Vanish on specific ingrown hairs, use of Thalgo's BioDepyl after epilation and at home.

Exfoliating gloves and a dab of Tend Skin work for me - the exfoliating gloves as a preventative measure and the Tend Skin to "pop" out any ingrowing hairs.

Get her to dry brush and moisturise. xxx

hi
thank you everyone for your advice i have told her to exfoliate and when i did it last time i wore an exfoliating glove to try to get them to lift up a bit. it helped but some are quite deep. can you buy sugar wax in a roller? xx

Ive never seen it and because it is so heat sensitive and can get hot very quickly i wouldn't want to refill an empty cartridge to try it.
Its used in the same way as anyother wax and you can use both cotton or paper strips for removal.
You are not going to get an instant improvement, more over a few months but it has definately worked for some of my clients and they always remind me now to put my sugar on when they book as its not something i have on the go all the time.
Its also good for anyone that has an allergy to ordinary wax.
