Hi there

I am looking for some in house training for my staff for customer services, front of house etc. Someone to come in and look at the business and service in general.

Has anybody had any experience of this and can recommend anybody?

Thanks

Hi

I would love to know this also, have 5 employees some hair and some beauty and would love to be able to give them some training on retail selling and customer service, although i do some myself with them have always found more formal training done by a third party more effective. Although fab beauty therapists and hairdressers selling and customer service doesnt always come naturally to them.

With regard to retailing, there's a course available at the International Dermal Institute (Or there was - you'd have to ckeck it's still running) called Implementing Your Retail Roadmap. It's honestly the best short course I've ever done, and it gave me the confidence to be able to retail.

Gives a bit of insight into customer service too. I highly recommend it!!!

I know GMT-TEC run a bunch of courses, they may have one ... worth a phone call.

I know that there are goverment run schemes that do NVQ in customer services and they are free. Speak to business link they will be able to give you info.

All the major product companies run courses in retailing and customer service. Ask your rep.

Thanks for replies everyone. Mat, I will check with GMT - thanks. I am looking for something tailored to our business. Someone specialist to come in and suggest improvements to way we run recption, meet & greet etc. How my business is perceived by an outsider, if you know what I mean :green:

I work with a lot of the 5* hotel spa groups worldwide mystery shopping customer service and then creating bespoke training plans on standards that can be carried out onsite. Feel free to PM me if you would like any more info.

There is a company called Zodiac. I am not sure if they are goverment run but i didnt have to pay for my NVQ in customer services. they also do other front of house courses. well worth a look.

Zodiac training does have a goverment funding training scheme in NVQ level 2 They also do Team leading and management The courses are free to employers and they are well worth doing. Hope this has helped you.
